I've missed YarnAlong-ing with everyone, on the past few even though my kids and I have a swim date in 15 minutes, and even though I am STILL on a never-ending, constantly-being-revised, often-ripped-out cardigan sweater, I am determined to link up today!

The sweater is almost finished. It's the "finishing" that is taking so long. You can knit the sleeves, front and back of a sweater perfectly, but if you screw up the fine details of "finishing", it's all over. So I have been determined to finish well. I have seamed and re-seamed, knit button-hole bands and re-knit them, because the button holes weren't evenly distributed along the band...and so on and so forth....and I am ALMOST done.

I also learned a lot about how to seam and make button-holes. Useful.

I am reading Bristol House  by Beverly Swerling and I Know This Much is True by Wally Lamb (see right sidebar), both on my Nook.

I want to try a sweater, but it seems rather daunting. I may just stick with afghans!

I'm in the middle of a tiny shrug for my petite granddaughter and designed it so as to avoid having to pick up stitches for the button band -- tells you something about my feelings about picking up stitches for button bands! ha! Glad you are almost finished and look forward to seeing the finished sweater. That pink looks oh-so-soft. :)

Your sweater is such a pretty color. I recently finished my first cardigan and I definitely learned a lot.
